Dr. Jennifer Huffman, neurodivergent Neuropsychologist

Meet Dr. Huffman, Founder and Clinical Director

Welcome!

I am an Illinois Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Pediatric Neuropsychologist, specializing in assessment and support for neurodivergent minds across the lifespan. 


I founded the Neuropsychology Center for Attention, Behavior & Learning, PLLC in 2011 and the practice has two sections, a clinic nicknamed The ABLE Center, DBA and an informational and advocacy section named Neurodivergent Neuropsychology. A new nonprofit clinic is opening the Summer of 2025 dedicated to increasing access to intervention and support for neurodivergent individuals.  

Training and Credentialing:

During my training and career, I have worked extensively with Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals, of all ages, and their families. I started working with Autistic individuals in 1998 and have specialized in working with neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan for assessment and support since that time. 


  • 1996       BS; Graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign


  • 2000       MS; Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Clinical Psychology


  • 2004       PhD; Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science; Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Neuropsychology 


  • 2005       Pediatric Neuropsychology; Postdoctoral Fellowship, Northwestern Hospital, Evaluation Center for Learning


  • 2006       Adult and Geriatric Neuropsychology; Postdoctoral Fellowship, Zablocki VA Medical Center


  • 2008       Credentialed as a National Register of Health Service Providers                 in Psychology


  • 2009       Licensed in Illinois as a Clinical Psychologist


  • 2016       Board Certified; Pediatric Neuropsychology by the Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology


  • 2021       Registered as a Telehealth Psychologist for the state of Florida


  • 2022       Authorized to practice telepsychology by PSYPACT

Current Projects:

I am neurodivergent myself, PDA/Autistic, and offer evaluations and consultations with lived experience of learning and social differences.  


I am also involved in multiple projects focused on increased awareness, acceptance and advocacy for autistic and other-neurodivergent individuals.

National Speaker and International Podcast Guest

I offer informative presentations and discussions on a range of topics, including neurodiversity, its implications in education and the workforce, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), autism, executive functioning, and neuropsychology.
